Midland General Store

Paige Appel and Kelly Harris, the creative visionaries behind 'Bash, Please,' enlisted us to translate their distinctive aesthetic into their inaugural brick-and-mortar destination. Drawing inspiration from Midwestern wheat fields, Santa Fe artist colonies, and the contemplative beauty of Japanese tea houses, we designed Midland's Culver City location as a carefully orchestrated sequence of experiential moments. Our approach juxtaposed refined material selections against the raw authenticity of the existing shell, creating an environment that feels both curated and organic. The result is a contemporary general store that celebrates LA's most talented indie designers alongside stateside and global goods, establishing a favorite destination on Washington Boulevard's emerging creative corridor.
