Anaheim Packing House

SNG GRP transformed a forgotten 1919 Sunkist citrus packing warehouse into Orange County's pioneering food hall destination. Our design concept honored the building's agricultural heritage while creating a vibrant 42,000-square-foot cultural hub that celebrates local artisans and independent food vendors. Through strategic placemaking and adaptive reuse, we preserved the Mission Revival architecture's authentic character—from the original maple floors to the exposed wooden trusses—while introducing modern functionality that supports over 20 diverse culinary concepts. The project became a catalyst for downtown Anaheim's revitalization, demonstrating how thoughtful design can breathe new life into historic structures while fostering genuine community connection. Opened in 2014, the Packing House established a new model for food halls nationwide, proving that authentic local culture beats homogenized retail every time.
